Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

The class will help you understand and manage your COPD. Some of the topics covered will be:

• Recognizing and treating exacerbations
  
• Medications
  
• Correct use of oxygen
  
• Demonstration and practice with inhalers and breathing techniques
  
• Activities of daily living including exercising
  
• COPD Resources available.

Learn in one session about the signs and symptoms of asthma, how asthma medications work to relieve/prevent symptoms; how to manage asthma triggers, prevent episodes, correct use of inhalers and peak flow meters, and balance lifestyle with work, school, and family life.
