Making an Appointment
Appointment Desk opens at 8 a.m.
To schedule an appointment, please call your local clinic and have your chart number ready.Routine physical examinations as well as chronic medical problems and follow-up care should be scheduled in advance. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify the office at least 24 hours before the appointment time to re-schedule and to allow other patients to use the time.
For Your Visit
- Please be on time for your appointment.
- Have a clear goal in mind about what you would like and be sure to let your doctor know at the beginning of your visit.
- Prioritize your concerns - unfortunately, not all issues can be fully addressed in one visit. We are happy to arrange follow-up visits for you if necessary.
When calling the doctor's office during the day, please have the appropriate chart number available. Always give us your name, the name of the family member you are calling about, and as much information about the problem as possible.
For instance, knowing your sick child's temperature is helpful. Your doctor or assistant will return your call between patients or at the end of the day. Our doctors will not treat new problems over the telephone. It is helpful to have pencil, paper and your pharmacy's telephone number ready when calling.
For routine questions, please call your family doctor between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays. Telephone calls should be for brief medical questions only. For more complicated or chronic medical problems, please make an office appointment.
Medication refills can be telephoned directly to your pharmacist at least three days before you need your prescriptions refilled.
Physicals
We strongly recommend regular preventive visits with your physician to help keep you healthy. Patients frequently ask how often they should have a physical. Physicals serve you best when they are done according to well-established guidelines and at certain age intervals. Please check our Preventive Care Guidelines to determine when you should have your next complete exam.
