Medication Refills
Refilling medications takes time. The following will make it easier for you to get your medications in a timely manner:
- Do not wait until you have only a few pills left. Make your request at least a week before you need the refill.
- You can call your pharmacy directly for a refill. If there are no refills available, please call your doctor and leave a message and include the name/type of medicine needed along with the name and location of your pharmacy.
- Refills will not be addressed after hours. The on-call physician is available for medical emergencies only.
- Refill requests for sleeping pills, pain relievers or medications for psychological conditions are best handled by your specific family doctor during normal business hours.
- When you pick up a prescription, check to see if there are refills listed on the bottle. If not, please request the pharmacy to place the request for refills at that time.
