What is the Fast Track Clinic?

CMG’s Urgent Care Center handles minor medical emergencies that are non-life threatening. Patients, ages 6 to 60, with certain symptoms can go directly to the Fast Track Clinic, located on the second floor of the Urgent Care Center, for faster service.

Go to the Fast Track Clinic if you are 6 through 60 years old and looking for treatment of:

  • Colds
  • Sore Throats
  • Earaches
  • Fever & Body Aches
  • Sinus Infections
  • Cold Sores
  • Pregnancy Tests
  • Female Bladder Infections
The Urgent Care Center will continue to handle minor injuries or illnesses not covered by the Fast Track Clinic, including:
  • Sprains and minor broken bones
  • Back problems
  • Cuts without profuse bleeding but requiring stitches
  • Mild to moderate burns
  • Mild to moderate asthma
  • Other minor infections

The Fast Track clinic is....

  • Connected to Camino Medical Group’s electronic health record.
  • Designed to reduce your waiting time in the Urgent Care Clinic and get you back to your life.
  • Able to assist patients who don’t have a primary care physician find one who is accepting new patients.
  • Open to all Camino Medical Group patients and others, ages 6 through 60 years, regardless of where they currently receive their care.

Facts about the clinic

  • The Fast Track Clinic is part of the medical care offered at Camino Medical Group.
  • The clinic is staffed by physicians, qualified nurse practitioners or physician assistants, who will provide a complete "treatment report" to a patient’s primary physician to ensure continuity of care.
  • Camino Medical Group’s Fast Track Clinic will only provide care for minor episodic illnesses. Ongoing patient care will continue to be provided by the patient's primary physician at their office.
  • Thomas Sherwood, M.D., with Camino Medical Group is the medical director of the Fast Track Clinic.

We accept cash, personal checks, Visa and Mastercard and copayments for most HMO, PPO and traditional indemnity insurance plans as well as Medicare and Medicare HMOs.

In case of an extreme life-threatening emergency, it is appropriate to go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 9-1-1.
