Most people think that dietitians just help people lose weight and eat better. Medical nutrition therapy actually includes nutrition assessment and careplan development for many medical nutrition diagnoses including the following:

  • Diabetes self-management training for type 1 and 2 diabetes
  • Classes for type 2 diabetes patients with follow-up visits as needed
