Humira Administration

1. Clean skin with alcohol swab.

2. Remove needle cap.

3. Pinch skin with left hand (if you are right-handed).

4. Holding syringe by the barrel, not touching the purple plunger, slowly push needle into pinched skin and maintain pressure to keep the needle all the way into skin.

5. Release skin and hold barrel, not the purple plunger, in left hand.

6. Pull back on purple plunger slightly with right hand, keeping syringe tightly pressed to skin with left hand, looking for any blood entering syringe. If any blood seen, withdraw the needle slightly, and reposition at a different angle and repeat.

7. Push purple plunger all the way down and then remove needle. Discard in safe storage area.

8. If you experience any pain or burning at injection site, apply ice briefly.
