Respecting Our Sunnyvale Neighbors
Our neighbors have made it clear that they wish to preserve the personality and well-being of their area. CMG has committed to keep this a priority during the planning, execution and operation of this medical center.
Insufficient parking has been an ongoing problem in the area, so CMG is proposing building a three-story parking structure, as well as an underground parking lot for the main clinic. The current proposal calls for 920 onsite parking spaces. Additionally, CMG employees will be strictly held to the parking policy which prohibits employees from parking along the neighborhood streets.
The underground parking will have effective lighting throughout.
Maintaining neighborhood privacy is an issue that has been taken into consideration since the earliest stages of planning. Window sills facing the neighborhood will be slanted to prevent seeing into neighboring yards and windows. Clinical windows will be tinted, providing privacy as well as preventing glare.
Plans for the renovated Sunnyvale Center do not include an Urgent Care or After-Hours clinic, so patient traffic will be limited to standard business hours (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays).
The City of Sunnyvale required that CMG complete a Shade Study, analyzing the shadow that will be created by the building. Results from the study will be shared with the neighborhood and posted on this Web site when it is finished and available.
